Who am I as a designer?
I'm Dexter Sulit, a Bay Area based Industrial Designer with over 10 years of experience in softgoods design, development, and manufacturing.
I focus on solving ergonomic and mechanical challenges through hands-on making, specializing in translating complex 3D geometry into precise, manufacturable 2D patterns. My work is supported by strong 3D and 2D CAD skills, patternmaking expertise, and extensive prototyping experience across fabrics, leathers, and technical textiles.
I bring a user-centered, detail-driven approach to my work and enjoy collaborating closely with engineers and cross-functional partners to deliver refined, production-ready softgoods solutions.
What I do in my free time?
🍕 I enjoy exploring new food and coffee
🏀 Watching basketball (Go Spurs Go! 👽)
🐶 Playing with my 13 year old beagle, Beans
Beans is also the the inspiration for my Etsy store name, HowlingBeans, where I illustrate and make stickers and shirts for over 2 years now.
